kladd

A small CLI for Memos, built around the editor flow: write in your $EDITOR, see exactly what will be sent, then save or abort.

kladd new                    # write a note, preview it, save
kladd edit <id>              # edit a note, preview the diff, save
kladd ls [--from] [--to]     # list notes, newest first
kladd view <id>              # print a note's content
kladd search <query>         # search note contents
kladd tags [tag]             # tag counts, or the notes tagged <tag>
kladd pin|unpin <id>         # toggle a note's pin
kladd archive|restore <id>   # soft-remove or bring back a note
kladd delete <id>            # delete permanently (asks first)

<id> is the uid shown by kladd ls, or a memos/<uid> resource name. Bare kladd edit and kladd delete open an interactive picker instead.

Setup

kladd signin

Prompts for your instance URL and a personal access token, validates them and stores the token in the OS keyring. kladd signout removes it again.

Install

go install src.timharek.no/tim/kladd/cmd/kladd@latest

Prebuilt tarballs (macOS, Linux, Windows) are on the releases page.

Development

Tooling is managed with mise; linting runs through hk. mise run build, mise run test, mise run check:ci cover the loop — see AGENTS.md for details.
